12 brand new affordable maisonettes awarded planning consent at Langney Road.

Since early 2020 we have been working with Aspiration Homes on development of a derelict commercial site on the corner of Langney Road and Seaside in Eastbourne. We are excited to announce that the site has been awarded planning consent for 12 brand new apartments. The site is being developed by Eastbourne Council through Aspiration Homes with Boutique Modern as the main contractor and lead architect.

The scheme will provide 12 1 and 2-bedroom maisonettes for desperately needed social housing in Eastbourne. The homes are all electric and will be designed using Fabric First principles as standard with all Boutique Modern projects – the scheme will include a small array of solar PV panels to help residents with running costs and to help lower energy consumption in the building.

Eastbourne Borough Council has committed to do all it can to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2030 and has declared a climate emergency for Eastbourne. Boutique Modern will be striving to use this development to raise the bar in the construction of low-energy, high quality social housing in Eastbourne and across wider East Sussex.

The Langney Road development is now in the technical design stage, with works on-site being planned to start before the end of 2020.
